A quick, nut-free twist on the classic snack, featuring celery, sunflower seed butter, and raisins. Perfect for preschool snacks, lunchboxes, and busy mornings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 45 stalks celery
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seed butter (e.g., SunButter or Once Again)
  • 23 tablespoons raisins

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the celery thoroughly.
  2. Trim the ends and cut the celery into 3-4 inch pieces (2 inches for toddlers).
  3. Scoop about 1 to 1.5 teaspoons of sunbutter into the groove of each celery piece.
  4. Press 3-4 raisins into the sunbutter on each piece.
  5. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container with a paper towel in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
  6. Optional: Drizzle with honey or maple syrup, or sprinkle with cinnamon.

Notes

Dry celery thoroughly to prevent sogginess. Use room temperature sunbutter for easier spreading. For lunchboxes, pack components separately and let kids assemble. Soak hard raisins in warm water for 5 minutes to soften.
