A beautiful and easy-to-make edible bouquet featuring fresh strawberries dipped in high-quality chocolate, perfect as a thoughtful gift or stunning centerpiece.

Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries, medium to large size, ripe but firm
  • High-quality chocolate (semi-sweet or dark chocolate bars or chips)
  • White chocolate (optional, for drizzling or decorative contrast)
  • Wooden skewers or bamboo sticks
  • Floral foam or Styrofoam ball
  • Vase or decorative container
  • Parchment paper
  • Sprinkles or chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry strawberries thoroughly to remove all moisture (about 10 minutes).
  2. Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each, until smooth and glossy, or use a double boiler over simmering water (about 5 minutes).
  3. Hold each strawberry by the stem or cap and dip it into the melted chocolate, coating about two-thirds of the berry. Let excess chocolate drip back into the bowl. Immediately add sprinkles or chopped nuts if desired (15-20 minutes depending on quantity).
  4. Place dipped strawberries on parchment paper to set. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes to speed up setting.
  5. Cut floral foam to fit snugly inside the vase or container and secure it firmly at the bottom.
  6. Skewer each chocolate-dipped strawberry just under the cap, avoiding piercing the fruit itself. Arrange skewers in the floral foam starting from the center and working outward, varying heights for a natural look (10-15 minutes).
  7. Melt white chocolate and drizzle over some strawberries for decorative contrast or add edible glitter. Chill the bouquet in the fridge for 10 minutes to firm up completely.

Notes

Use firm, ripe strawberries to avoid juice leakage. Melt chocolate slowly in short bursts to prevent burning. If chocolate hardens during dipping, gently rewarm. Avoid overcrowding dipped strawberries on parchment to prevent sticking. For a shiny finish, temper chocolate or chill quickly in fridge. Store bouquet in fridge uncovered or loosely covered and consume within 24 hours for best freshness.
