A build-your-own apple cider mimosa bar that’s perfect for family brunch. Made with sparkling cider, fresh fruit, and fun garnishes, it’s a non-alcoholic treat kids and adults will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups apple cider, chilled
  • 2 bottles (750 ml each) sparkling white grape juice, chilled
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) sparkling apple cider, chilled
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate arils
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced (Honeycrisp or Fuji recommended)
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced into half-moons
  • 68 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons edible glitter or sparkling sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chill the apple cider, sparkling white grape juice, and sparkling apple cider overnight.
  2. Wash and dry the raspberries and blueberries. Pop the pomegranate arils out of the shell. Slice the apple and orange into thin rounds, then cut the orange slices into half-moons. Toss apple slices in lemon juice if prepping more than an hour ahead.
  3. Set out small bowls and fill them with the fruit, cinnamon sticks, mint leaves, and sweeteners. Arrange in a row so kids can move down the line easily.
  4. Pour the chilled apple cider into one pitcher, the sparkling white grape juice into another, and the sparkling apple cider into a third pitcher. Label each one.
  5. Stack cups at the beginning of the line. Use sturdy plastic or glass cups.
  6. Let kids build their drinks: first pick fruit and drop into cup, then add a cinnamon stick or mint leaves. Pour apple cider halfway up the cup, then top with sparkling white grape juice. Add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup if desired.
  7. Sprinkle a tiny pinch of edible glitter or sparkling sugar on top.
  8. Stir gently with the cinnamon stick and serve immediately.

Notes

Chill all ingredients overnight for best results. Avoid overfilling cups with fruit to prevent overflow. For a lower-sugar version, use plain sparkling water instead of white grape juice. For toddlers, use plastic cups with lids and straws, and skip honey for children under one year.
