An effortless and sophisticated snack board featuring a curated selection of fancy cheeses, spicy and mild salami, crunchy crackers, fresh fruit, and savory accents, perfect for quick entertaining or solo indulgence.

Ingredients

  • Manchego cheese (firm, buttery texture with a nutty finish)
  • Triple Cream Brie cheese (soft, creamy, indulgent)
  • Sharp Cheddar cheese (aged, crumbly, with a tangy bite)
  • Spicy Genoa Salami (adds a peppery kick)
  • Cacciatore Salami (milder, slightly smoky)
  • Water Crackers (neutral, crisp canvas for cheeses)
  • Multigrain Crisps (adds hearty crunch and fiber)
  • Baguette slices, lightly toasted
  • Seedless Green Grapes (refreshing sweetness)
  • Marcona Almonds (buttery, crunchy, and slightly salty)
  • Cornichons or Dill Pickles (for tangy snap)
  • Fig Jam or Honey (optional, for a touch of sweetness)
  • Olives (Kalamata or Castelvetrano for briny depth)
  • Fresh herbs (rosemary or thyme sprigs for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Slice the cheeses into a variety of shapes: wedges for brie, thin slices for cheddar, and small cubes or thin slices for manchego. (Approx. 10 minutes)
  2. Cut the salami into thin rounds or fold slices for a nice presentation. (5 minutes)
  3. Lightly toast baguette slices until golden and crisp. (5 minutes)
  4. Arrange cheese clusters spaced apart on the board. Fill in around them with salami slices, crackers, and baguette slices.
  5. Place small bowls of olives, nuts, and fig jam or honey on the board to break up the layout visually and provide flavor contrasts.
  6. Tuck in grapes and pickles around the board. Add a few sprigs of rosemary or thyme for a fresh herbal note.
  7. Fill any gaps with extra crackers or nuts to balance textures and colors.
  8. Let the cheese sit at room temperature for about 15–20 minutes before serving to enhance flavor and ease of slicing.

Notes

Bring cheese to room temperature before serving for best flavor and texture. Keep crackers separate until just before serving to avoid sogginess. Slice salami about 1/8 inch thick for optimal texture. Assemble board last minute for freshest presentation. Gluten-free crackers can be used as a substitute.
