Juicy grilled peaches glazed with honey and served warm with creamy vanilla ice cream, creating a delightful contrast of textures and temperatures perfect for summer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe but firm peaches, halved and pitted
  • 3 tablespoons honey (preferably raw or mild blossom honey)
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • About 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • Optional: pinch of ground cinnamon or nutmeg
  • Fresh mint or basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat (about 375°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, lemon juice, and melted butter until smooth. Add cinnamon or nutmeg if using.
  3. Pat dry peach halves with a paper towel and brush the cut sides generously with the honey glaze.
  4. Place peaches cut side down on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes without moving to form grill marks.
  5. Flip peaches and grill the skin side for another 2-3 minutes until tender but still holding shape.
  6. Brush the peach flesh side again with honey glaze to form a glossy finish.
  7. Remove peaches from grill and let rest for 1-2 minutes to thicken the glaze.
  8. Serve warm topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and garnish with fresh mint or basil leaves.

Notes

Choose firm but ripe peaches to hold shape on the grill. Watch the honey glaze carefully to prevent burning. Serve immediately after grilling for best texture and flavor. For dairy-free or vegan options, substitute honey with maple syrup and vanilla ice cream with coconut or non-dairy alternatives.
