A quick and easy air fryer recipe featuring crispy honey glazed salmon with perfectly roasted broccoli, ready in about 20 minutes. This wholesome meal balances sweet and savory flavors with minimal prep and cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 skin-on salmon fillets (about 6 ounces or 170 grams each)
  • 3 cups broccoli florets (fresh or thawed if frozen)
  • 3 tablespoons honey (raw or locally sourced preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (extra virgin preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat
  • Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it warm up for 3-5 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, and lemon juice until smooth.
  3. In a medium bowl, drizzle olive oil over broccoli florets, season lightly with salt and pepper, and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Lightly salt and pepper each fillet. Brush or spoon half the honey glaze evenly over the top of each fillet, focusing on the skin side.
  5. Place salmon fillets skin-side down in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Nestle broccoli florets around the salmon, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  6. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for about 10 minutes. Halfway through (around 5 minutes), open the basket and toss the broccoli. Flip the salmon gently if possible for even crisping.
  7. Brush the salmon with the remaining honey glaze and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to caramelize the glaze and finish cooking. The salmon should flake easily and broccoli should be tender with lightly charred edges.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and let the salmon rest for 1-2 minutes. Garnish with fresh lemon juice and optional red pepper flakes or sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Dry salmon skin thoroughly before cooking for crispiness. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to allow even cooking. Apply half the glaze before cooking and the rest near the end to prevent burning. If glaze burns, add a splash of water or lemon juice to thin it. Thaw and pat dry frozen broccoli before use to avoid sogginess. For thicker fillets, add 1-2 minutes to cooking time.
